What is your check-in and check-out times?

Check in is from 1.00pm and check out is at 10.00am.

How far are you from the Taupo town centre?

Approximately 1.5 kms. We are just a 10 minute walk to Taupo town centre.

Do you have an on-site restaurant?

No, however our guests are welcome to use the Hotel restaurant next door and can have your meals charged back to your room. There are also many great restaurants in downtown Taupo within easy walking distance.

Will my motel room be serviced?

Your motel room will be serviced and cleaned daily during your entire stay at Baycourt Lakefront Taupo Motel.

I am travelling on business and need to have Internet access for my laptop, is this possible in my motel room?

Yes. Each room at Baycourt Lakefront Taupo Motel features Wireless Internet for guest convenience.

How long before I will receive an email reply?

The fastest, easiest way to make a reservation for our Taupo motel is to use our real time online booking system. You should receive an emailed confirmation within 15 minutes of submitting your motel booking using this system. For emailed general enquiries, we aim to check our emails several times each day. If you have not received a reply from us within 24 hours then you may have provided us with an incorrect email address, therefore we suggest you re-submit your motel accommodation booking or email to us. You may also wish o check that messages from info@baycourttaupo.co.nz have not been blocked by your spam filters.

How do I confirm my stay at your Taupo motel?

To guarantee your Taupo motel accommodation reservation you must supply a valid credit card number, cardholders name and card expiry date. This can be done using our online reservations system.

Is it safe to use my credit card online?

Yes. We treat the security of our motel accommodation guest’s information very seriously. To ensure your security, all credit card transactions are secured by SSL, which encrypts the credit card number so as to make it unavailable to any other party.

What is your cancellation policy?

Unless advised otherwise, we require 48 hours of cancellation that applies to the full term of your motel reservation. If you have to cancel at short notice, or when accommodation guests fail to arrive, every endeavour will be made to re-let your booking, however if we are unsuccessful then you will be responsible for the balance owing. How can I change or cancel my motel booking?

Yes - definitely! We welcome families to our Taupo motel and pride ourselves on having family friendly accommodation.

How far away are the ski fields from your motel in Taupo?

Tongariro National Park is located 1 hour south of Taupo and has 3 magnificent volcanoes in the area. The largest, Mount Ruapehu, has three ski fields on its slopes. Whakapapa and Turoa are New Zealand’s two largest, while the third (Tukino) is a smaller country orientated field.

Are there many adventure activities in Taupo I can try?

Lake Taupo is loaded with adrenalin pumping adventure for the young or young at heart! Activities include bungy jumping, horse trekking, jetboating, whitewater rafting, off road motorbiking, kayaking, jet ski-ing, tandem skydiving, parasailing, mountain biking, rock climbing, skiing, snowboarding and more!

Terms & Conditions

Credit card details are required to confirm all bookings at our Taupo motel. These are held on file and nothing is charged until departure. Cancellations made 48 hours or more prior to your scheduled arrival will incur no charges. Cancellation made after this time may result in the amount of one nights accommodation being charged to the credit card number held on file. Cancellation policy for groups will be advised at the time of booking.

Check-in at our motel is available from 1pm on the day of arrival. Check-out time is 10am on the day of departure. Early check-in and/or late check-out is by arrangement only.

Payment for all motel accommodation must be made in full on the day of departure (if not already done so). Overdue/recovery charges may be made if your account is not paid on time.

No visitors are allowed in motel rooms after 10pm. Any damage to the motel room or property may be charged, plus a charge for any resultant loss of income if applicable.

Smoking is not allowed in any room on the property. If you do smoke, then you may be charged appropriate cleaning and loss of income charges.

Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guest of 18 years or over.
